Hello, I'm Neviana Maleyko, and I'm so happy to have you here. If someone had told me years ago that I would be helping people changeI would have found it hard to believe. At one time, I was just a young mom grappling with overwhelming physical and emotional challenges that had taken control of my life.
In 2007, I started searching for answers after receiving a daunting health diagnosis ( Ulcerative Colitis) from my doctor. Deep down, I knew there had to be a solution to this turmoil, but I didn't know where to begin. My only recourse was turning to Google to see what others were doing. What followed was a journey marked by restrictive diets, ingredient eliminations, food diaries, struggles with eating disorders and depression. I faced eating fears, immense frustration, relied on countless supplements and medications to get better. Shame and loneliness became my constant companions because I was not getting better.
Amidst this turmoil, some remarkable events unfolded. I became a mother and also opened two successful restaurants. I initially believed that the food I was consuming was the root of my physical distress. I spent years researching and making significant lifestyle changes, but I only grew sicker. After a series of events that left me shocked and traumatized I started to get worse and got another unexpected diagnosis that dropped me to my knees ( Cancer).
Because of this I came to realize that food wasn't the core issue( or i would be getting better since I ate vegan, organic and drank green juice, but something more profound needed addressing. I had to take a step back to move forward and understand how my past experiences and traumas had shaped me. My dysregulated nervous system was stuck in shutdown, affecting me physically, mentally and emotionally.
Gradually, I embarked on a journey of self-exploration, delving into my thoughts and striving to understand myself better. It was demanding work, but it was worth it. I learned that I could consume all the kale and barley grass I wanted, but unless I addressed the deep-seated unresolved emotions of anger, resentment, shame, and guilt within me, none of it would truly help.
Our thoughts and emotions wield tremendous power, yet nobody has taught us how to understand them. Nobody had taught me how to become aware of my body's need and language. As a result of these positive changes in my life, I was able to restore my health and start living my purpose.
I chose to help others through coaching because it's a relatable, action-oriented, and holistic approach. Most importantly, I've personally endured the struggles and understand what my clients are going through.
I'm here to share the tools I've personally used in my life. I eagerly anticipate helping you write the next chapter of your journey!
